Service description
Fixed wireless LTE/5G service
- The service provides fixed wireless internet access using Vodacom’s LTE/5G network.
- The service is intended for fixed use at the registered service address and may not be used as a mobile or roaming service.
- Service is provided on a best-effort basis and is subject to network availability, tower capacity, device capability, and environmental factors.

Approved devices only
SIMs must be used in approved routers
- The service is only compatible with Vodacom-approved LTE/5G routers.
- A SIM-only option may be available, but the SIM will only function correctly in approved devices.
- The client is responsible for using a compliant, ICASA-approved router.
- Use of non-approved devices may result in service suspension.
- The approved device list may change without notice as Vodacom updates or revises its requirements.

RICA compliance
ID and proof of address required
- Valid proof of identity and proof of address, not older than 3 months, must be presented at delivery.
- The SIM and device will only be handed over to the account holder after successful RICA verification.
- Failure to provide the required RICA documents will result in non-delivery.

Geographic lock
Locked to registered address
- The SIM is locked to the registered service address and approved tower coverage.
- Use outside the registered address or on a non-approved device may result in automatic suspension.
- Clients who relocate may request a migration, subject to Vodacom network coverage at the new address.
- If the new address is not covered, the service may need to be cancelled and cancellation fees may apply.

FUP thresholds
Uncapped packages may throttle
- Unlimited and uncapped packages are subject to speed reductions after specific usage thresholds.
- Connect LTE Unlimited 20Mbps: reduced to 4Mbps after 100GB.
- Connect LTE Unlimited 50Mbps: reduced to 8Mbps after 150GB.
- Connect LTE Unlimited 100Mbps: reduced to 10Mbps after 300GB.
- Connect LTE Unlimited Plus: reduced to 20Mbps after 600GB.
- Once the hard cap or FUP limit is reached, data services may be suspended until the next billing cycle unless additional top-ups are purchased.

Capped data & top-ups
Top-ups from R10/GB
- Capped packages include a fixed monthly data allocation.
- Optional top-ups are available at R10/GB.
- Monthly data allocations are valid from activation until the end of the same calendar month.
- Monthly allocations do not roll over. New data is allocated on the 1st of every month.
- Unused top-up data may roll over for one additional calendar month only where supported by Vodacom or the upstream operator.
- If the client exhausts the purchased data or reaches the fixed cap, the service will be hard-capped until a top-up is purchased.

Delivery & activation
Delivery and activation timelines
- SIMs and devices will be delivered within 3 business days of payment clearance.
- Activation may take up to 72 hours after SIM insertion.
- In most cases, activation occurs within 30 minutes.
- Data allocation will be applied after successful activation.
- The correct Vodacom APN must be configured for the service to work.

Contract & cancellations
Month-to-month with notice
- Home-Connect LTE/5G packages are available on a month-to-month basis.
- Cancellations require a full one-month calendar notice.
- Where a SIM card and device are purchased, a cancellation fee of R999 applies if the client cancels within 6 months of activation.
- Upgrades take effect immediately.
- Downgrades take effect on the 1st day of the following month.
- Clients must notify Home-Connect if the service address changes. Use at a different location may result in suspension until the address is updated.

Router purchase promo
Selected router discount offer
- Home-Connect may offer promotional router pricing when purchased with an active Fixed LTE package.
- Under the standard promotion, the router price is reduced to R1,399 once-off from the standard retail price of R2,399.
- If the client cancels within 6 months from activation, a cancellation fee of R999 will apply.
- All promotional router offers are subject to stock availability and may be withdrawn or amended at Home-Connect’s discretion without prior notice.

Free-to-use router
Router remains Home-Connect property
- The free-to-use router is made available to the client for use while they remain an active subscriber to a qualifying Vodacom LTE package.
- The router remains the property of Home-Connect at all times.
- The router is provided solely for the purpose of enabling the Home-Connect internet service.
- The router is equipment tied to the active subscription and must be returned upon cancellation.
- If the router is not returned after cancellation, the client will be liable for a replacement cost of R1,600.00.
- The router must be returned in good working condition, including original packaging, cables, and accessories where applicable.

- Vodacom Unlimited LTE at R888/month qualifies for the free-to-use router promotion.

What is not included
- The service does not include voice, MMS, or outgoing SMS.
- Roaming is not supported.
- No minimum service levels or speed SLAs are guaranteed.
- Home-Connect and Vodacom shall not be held liable for service interruptions, coverage limitations, or misuse by the client.
